Can't be serious - an overview
And yet! HH encouraged me (in passing/jest) to blog about my journey through the workout craze of Shaun T's Insanity. I feel there is in fact an empty niche in the blog market for such a tale, particularly because I really don't have much business even attempting Insanity at this juncture in my fitness career. But I've always been big on making somewhat arbitrary decisions particularly when they're posed to me as challenges. And so we have it.
Shaun T and I first met about 3 years back when he was much jollier and shockingly more flamboyant as the star of Hip Hop Abs. Since then he has obviously been into 'roids re: his massive increase in jacked-ness as well as his hyper masculine cries of "Come on y'all - SKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Last year about this time, one of my boyfriend's buddies gave us some bootleg copies of the first month of the Insanity videos. I tried a couple but soon realized that they were obviously too much for my current level of fitness. This time, it's not the fitness level that's different, but rather the fact that I just may be too damn stubborn to care (God willing.)
Last week, HH, a dear co-worker, and co-theoretical-health-enthusitrist threw the idea on the table that we do 60 days of Insanity. And when I hear the roar of a challenge...it's on.
