Day 13 - PC II and Cardio Abs (1/27)

This morning's workout was all kinds of tough cookies. Started with me mega struggling to get my arse out of bed for about 20 minutes until Shaun T's sweet nothings finallllllyyyyy pulled me onto the workout floor circa 6:15. It was slow going getting in the Pure Cardio groove and I may have to rescind most of what I claimed yesterday re: keeping up with Shaun T's posse. But we pushed the heck through nonetheless.

My school day started off with wiping out in the parking lot thanks to some black ice. Luckily my peak physical condition (slash sheer dumb luck) kept me from any kind of injury. This is pretty amazing because generally every time I trip and/or fall an ankle or knee ends up twisted/sprained. Let's just go ahead and thank Shaun T for granting me cat-like reflexes that allowed me to successfully break my fall.

Once the kids were gone, HH and I hollered at some unchartered Insanity territory - Cardio Abs which was the second part of today's workout prescription. 16 minutes of core work which thankfully still included tons of knee tuck jumps as per the Insanity norm. Then I headed over to the Y since I've been totes neglecting my membership of late for a muscle pump class. Worked it and then some.

Eats were had of course a la Shaun T's bidding: #1: berry protein smoothie; #2: egg white omelette with veg and turkey on a round bread (eaten out of order not until after Cardio Abs at 4); #3: salad with assorted veg and some leftover pork; #4: same lies as yesterday - I swear I will actually eat it tomorrow; and #5: baked chicken, baked potato, and (you guessed it) baked broccoli (fancier to call it roasted - delish nonetheless).

Tomorrow is the highly coveted Insanity day off but my plan is to bust out some good old fashioned cardio with my friend of yore the elliptical. Then come Saturday its do or die with Fit Test #2. Almost as exciting as NHL Allstar Weekend, I know.
